Issue: A short circuit in the starter relay may cause excessive heat buildup and fire. BMW advises parking vehicles outside and away from structures until repairs are made.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the starter relay free of charge. Interim letters will be mailed beginning November 14, 2025, with a second notice to follow once remedy parts are available.
